1969 Pontiac GTO For Sale by Owner in Lookout Mountain, GA

Up for sale is a 1969 Pontiac GTO Convertible. This is a real "242" GTO car (no LeMans clone). This has had a recent light resto & is as it was configured originally-- Pontiac 400-4bbl / TH400 Automatic/ Matador Red paint / Red interior / White top / Factory PS / PDB / auto on column / bucket seat / **non AC or hideaway headlight car. This is a very rare car in this rather odd configuration.    Production s  1969 GTO = 72,287  1969 GTO conv = 7,328 (10% of GTOs)  1969 GTO 400/auto conv = 4,385 (6% of GTOs)  Total GTO conv w/ rare Matador red on red & white top combo – UNKNOWN  It’s probably fair to guesstimate this combo was around >1% as there were 21 paint colors, 9 interior colors and 4 conv top colors to pick from in ’69!  **Car has PHS document to prove all above information**   It currently has a good running 1967 GTO 400-4bbl motor in place (NOM), 10 miles on freshly rebuilt TH400 (s matching to car).  Recent body work using all original body panels (very solid car), fresh paint, new Legendary interior & top (with glass window).   Many brand new parts included here (fuel tank, sending unit, rebuilt Edelbrock carb, starter, brakes, full exhaust (turbo mufflers), emblems, etc) – project just this summer – 10 miles on car since 1983!  Finished car off with correct factory GTO hubcaps (most GTOs have the added Rally II rims but they probably came from factory with these hubcaps).  I would conservatively classify the car as a low “3” condition car. In other words, a great driver / cruise night show car.  Remember this is a REAL “242” vin GTO convertible & will only go up in value. It’s best to buy a real car vs. a "recreation".
