Seller Comments

Priced to sell. Reliable and clean. Get ready for vacation.
Only 51K miles
$5,500.
Used car ads should be approached with a large amount of skepticism as you weed through ads that say things like magnificent/outstanding and many other such exaggerated and often incorrect superlatives. With that said this is one rare and beautifully maintained low mileage vehicle. It is rare because it has averaged less than 3 K miles per year. Try to find another vehicle with that kind of mileage. I recently spent over $2,500 in maintenance, new parts and repairs, some not necessary but preventative to ensure safe and enjoyable trips. The list is below.
I purchased this conversion van on January 28, 2012 from an elderly couple who used it to travel during the summers when the woman was off for summer vacation (she was a teacher). For the past several years, they were not traveling and decided to sell it that January. It was covered up until the time I purchased it in 2012 and there is no rust whatsoever. While it ran well, due to it sitting, I thought it required some work and some of that is listed below.
Why am I selling it at a loss?
I put a lot of money into this vehicle in just 2 years to get it super road worthy and had planned to tour the US with it. And I have not let it sit for the past two years; I run it several times a week. Anyway the traveling plans had to change…..unfortunately recent life changes, failing parents and my intense job will keep me close by and I won’t be doing any traveling. I had not planned on this which is why I spared no expense in getting the van into A1 shape for touring. I am a non smoker and the previous owner was also a non smoker. To recoup my money and break even, I would have to sell it for around $8,500. I realize that will be difficult and time consuming and I do not have the time with personal and work demands. And I do not want this on the market long which is why it is priced to sell. Some info:
•	1995 E-150 Econoline Conversion Van
•	138 Wheel Base
•	Optional 5.8L EFI engine
•	Electronic 4 – speed automatic transmission
•	Front and rear AC
•	Trailer electrical hook up (it did not come with a trailer hitch but I installed one for our bike rack. It never towed a trailer ………..but did carry bikes).
•	Raven black paint with grey detailing and dark charcoal interior
•	New Alpine stereo with USB and MP3 input.
•	Rear AM/FM radio with cassette
•	Bright cast aluminum wheels
•	Halogen headlights
•	Premium interior light system
•	TV and VHS player
•	Twin I beam independent front suspension
•	Optional 35 gallon fuel tank
•	Factory installed optional running boards
•	Power front seats
•	Power locks
•	Clean title
Some of the things I replaced maintained or added in the last two years:
•	Trailer hitch
•	4 new shocks
•	Front brakes
•	Rear differential fluid changed
•	Transmission flushed
•	Replaced fuel filter
•	Replaced serpentine belt
•	Installed Alpine radio
•	Had gas vent line repaired
•	Had AC recharged
•	New radiator, thermostat, radiator hoses and by pass hose
•	Replaced EGR tube
•	4 General Grabber HTS tires in Aug 2013 - currently less than 2,000 miles on them – previous tires were good tread wise but were over 13 years old
•	Costly front end work and replaced both sides of upper and lower ball joints in Sept 2013
•	Replaced tie rods, inner and outer front wheel bearings in Sept 2013
•	Replaced both universal joints in Sept 2013
•	Alignment
•	Complete tune up in October 2013 including new wires
•	Last inspected in June 2013
•	One of the things it does need is a left front ABS sensor. When Sears did the front end work in September, they broke this and would not repair it so the ABS light is on.
This is a very good all around daily driver. It's big enough to keep the kids separated and on long trips the chairs make it seem as if you are riding on air. We took it on a trip to North Carolina and a camping trip to Delaware last summer and it worked out nicely sleeping in the van. The captain’s chairs and ride are great, lots of cup holders, storage compartments and storage behind the third seat. Kids and adults can spread out -- back row flattens into a queen bed. It has been very reliable.
The van is located in the Easton/Bangor, Pennsylvania area. Please provide your name and phone number in your response so that I may respond with a mutually convenient time and location for you to see the vehicle. Due to the snow and winter weather, I have not had a chance to clean it up but this will be done as soon as weather improves. Thank you.
