1984 Monte Carlo Super Sport: MCSS (Please read the whole posting as I will be updating as folks ask for info/pics)
I am the fourth owner of the car. I am friends with the third owner who went to the dealership in 83/84 to help the first owner pick it out. Original owner used it to cruise back and forth from Pensacola to Biloxi. Second owner used it as a daily driver for a few years. Second owner was the first owner's daughter. Third owner and I built/drove it as a weekend hot rod/cruiser. Car has spent most of its life in a garage or at least under a carport with a concrete foundation. Fuel and ignition are currently tuned down to keep it a little more street-able. Turn it back up and take out the carb spacer and it turns into a little monster (will not drive well on wet roads turned up). Roads stay wet here in the spring and summer so I have kept it de-tuned a bit for cruising.

Mods/New Parts
Mechanical
.030 over 400sbc w/flat top pistons, 805 open chamber heads with 1.6 roller rockers. Muther thumper cam. 600cfm Edelbrock carb(choke not hooked up), street dominator intake with 2" spacer. 180 thermostat.
3 core aluminum radiator with trans cooler.
Starter is wrapped and also has heat shield.
Wrapped long tube headers, 2 chamber flow masters.
Built TH350 trans with 2500 stall. No kick down installed at this time.
10 bolt 3.42 posi rear out of a Grand National.
New parking brake cables. (need adjustment)
New wheel cylinders. Inspected all other drum parts and painted drums silver.
A/C was converted to R-134A. Has a slow leak I have not found yet, but all components have been replaced with new. A/C fans replaced and wired in with new relay kit. New throttle solenoid for A/C on the carb to bump up the idle.
New Heater core.
Vent at the bottom of the heater box was cleaned out while I was in there. Top resealed with windshield sealing material. No leaks.
Wiring from starter to power distribution at the fuse panel was rerouted to the battery. This was done to keep the primary electrical feed away from the headers.
Currently running a Mr. Gasket fuel pump in front of the factory tank. Works well and you don't hear it while driving.
New pressure side power steering hose and o-rings.

Interior
New weather stripping all the way around.
New widow felts inside and out.
The entire interior is intact with the exception of the visors (they were trashed) Some minor work needs to completed. Driver seat needs covering and the strap on the driver door likes to come off if you pull on it. New: Dome light cover, lock buttons, lock and window switches (both power and work as they should)
Clock still works.
Factory volt/temp not hooked up but functional.
Breadbox ashtray has been replaced, not quite paint matched.
New center console lid. Nice paint matched upgrade from Dixie restoration.
Water/Oil/Volt gauges on the driver pillar. Have the factory pillar to go with car.
Dash cluster was disassembled, plastic lens was cleaned and all light bulbs replaced. Looks great.
Older aftermarket CD player. All factory speakers still in car and working well.
Interior of trunk is good with good carpet and spare tire.

Body -- No Rust In This Car
2" all steal cowl. Have the original hood to go with it.
Dealer optioned/installed moon roof. Works perfect, no leaks.
New door locks, door handles, trunk lock. Doors and truck are now keyed the same. Glove box still uses the factory key. Same for ignition.
Older Prime 5 star wheels 15X8. New front tires, rear tires in great shape.
Paint is new within the last 7 years. Car was changed from white to silver with a light metallic flake. Door jams, under hood and deck lid all painted to match.
All lights work with the exception of reverse lights. Needs a new switch.

Extras
Factory owner's manual is still with the car. I think I have a Haynes manual as well.
Spare parts include: tail lights with housings, misc. gaskets and some other parts that I replaced but kept the originals. I do have a 700cfm vacuum secondary Holley if you want it. It needs to be rebuilt. Might have another fuel pump (Holley Blue) lying around as well.

Price is $9,000 cash obo If you want to negotiate with me on the price please do it in person and have cash on you. Same for test rides. No cash, no ride. I also have an extensive tool collection which a back injury has stopped me from using so if there is a tool you would like to go with it let me know, I might have it.

Don't need to sell. Don't need help selling, thanks anyway.
