Offered for Sale by the California Automobile Museum Classic 1966 Ford Mustang Coupe This is a good, solid example of a 1966 Mustang Coupe with an great look. Red and black striped paint presents well, some chipped spots that have been touched up can be found along with a few cracks in the paint. Some slight bubbling found behind drivers side glass towards the rear of the car. Body overall looks to be in good shape, bumpers and stainless trim show some marks, a few minor dents found in the trim at the hood and around windshield, no signs of cracks or rust found otherwise. Minor scrapes in windshield found, no other damage found to the rest of the glass, lights or lenses. Interior looks to be complete, rear seat and panels show some wear. One small repair to the passenger front seat found. Kick panels have been replaced with units to hold front speakers. Dash pad is crack free but is pulling up at the corner. After market radio in dash has power and shows time but deck mounted in the glove box is what runs the stereo. Trunk area shows some surface rust but no signs of rusting-through the metal found. Engine starts easily and idles well. Until warmed up, car runs a bit cold blooded and has a slight hesitation, choke may not be working as it should. Non-powered brakes stop the car well and three-speed manual transmission shifts as it should. Car is slightly out of alignment and does pull to the left, otherwise suspension is in good shape with no rattles. AC controls are not working but the system appears to be complete under the hood. There is a slight exhaust leak heard at the manifold.
