This is a 1981 Datsun 280zx coupe that is 100 percent complete. Everything has been done everything.The entire car, motor was gone thru before I found it I still went back in to check everything. Super tight and great compression all new gaskets, o-rings, freeze plugs, etc.
+ interior of the car is like new original seats, carpet, panels, headliner, glove box (with factory sticker of key #) and owners manual with the original owners notes and miles when he had service done. I even have the factory spare tire with jack, kit and air tank.
+ motor has been gone thru and compression checked, no leaks, rattle, noise runs great. Every hose, seal, vaccum line, clamp, zip tie, fluid, anything you can think has been replaced.
many of the brackets, fuel rail, valve cover has been polished or repainted. The factory hood light does work perfect.
+ replaced big blue intake with a carbon fiber print short ram air for a lil more HP also love the sound and look but i have the factory intake wrapped up customer will get with the car and can installed very simple if wanted.
+ The car starts on first start no hit the gas, pumping it, crossing your fingers just STARTS.
+ Rad. and all hoses flushed and new, water pump, thermostat, all new.
+Alt., starter, battery, cables, ends, hold down, belts all brand new.
+AC compressor replaced, polished ac lines, new condenser, blows cold with no problem.
+heater core flushed and in great shape blows super hott air also the adjustable blower works perfect.
+Transmission
Trans was removed serviced and new seals. Flywheel was in great shape and resurfaced also a new stage 2 clutch and pressure plate installed, along with a nice nissan red paint and clear coat. Changed the syn. on the shifter and installed custom bushing to eliminate all the back and forth play. shifts awesome has 2.8 miles on all.
+exterior well where to start complete body and paint work. "sun of a gun grey" a custom ppg paint mix gun metal with black and a bit of color tint and lots of metal flake not too much. everything was removed all ding, dents, etc repaired car is super straight with zero ZERO rust. did not install rings over wheels but will give to the customer that buys car. also have factory black strips for the side I personally like the car without once again customer will get with purchase.
+shaved the side markers and ant., car looks so much more sleek now. Car was brought to metal on most of the car, then primed and sealed, sanded, painted another 2 times of paint and sand again. Around 6 full coats of paint and just as many times of top grade ppg hard clear coat. Used a case of chip guard around the bottom of the entire car, front bumper and underside. Cars engine bay, under hood, door jambs, hatch jamb all painted and cleared as well took no short cuts. cleared turn signals, cleared tail lights and headlights with a bit of pearl coat mixed in. Also installed HID headlights from a new nissan. horns both new. bumpers polished and cleared the black covers sanded and restained both look new once again all new bolts, washers and nuts.too much to list.
Basically everything has been touched, replaced, or repaired even under the car looks better than most cars on the road today. I have countless hours and money in this car its one I am very happy with none of those i wish i would have done this and that things cause i did all. This was a solid 4 month project wanted to keep it stock to its roots but make it look like there was a little less going on to appreciate the car instead of strips, pin strips and everything stuck everywhere.
***two things i did not do I had mixed feelings on both so #1 the exhaust is done except muffler i was going with a straight canister style out the drivers rear or you can go quiet out passenger like stock. So basically pick a muffler.
#2 the struts if I was keeping it I was installing 1inch drop springs and 8 way adjustable strut/shocks or you can stay stock with springs and plain jane struts up to you again.
Car is beautiful and ready to go much more to go over upon pick up.
Clean clear title in hand, no salvage or liens.
