1977 Land Rover Series III For Sale by Owner in Vienna, VA

A Classic must see former Royal Navy Series III Land Rover with new canvass and fresh paint, drives great and looks even better.  It has straight aluminum panels over a rust free underbody, solid bulkheads, stainless steel exhaust, smooth high and low speed boxes and free wheel hubs; transitions from 4 to 2 wheel drive and high to low boxes are all smooth and trouble free.  

Lightly used and regularly maintained, it has had new fuel and washer pumps fitted this year along with routine items such as points, rotor arms, oil, plugs etc..  Load area has bench seating for four and new front seats were fitted in Jan 14.  The galvanized canvass frame and hoops were also new in Jan 14 as was a new tailgate and a 'farm standard' classic green paint job.  All floor panels were lifted and checked in 2014 with fresh underseal applied over a rock solid and rust free chassis; all gearbox, transmission and suspension mounts are likewise rust free.  All glass is original and in excellent condition, aluminum body panels straight, wheels sound and original and tires okay.   

It has a clean VA title, current safety check and it is EPA exempt due it it's classic status. It is a great runner, starts right away every time (a little manual choke), settles to a smooth tick over, pulls through all gears and does not 'smoke'.  Most of all, it's an absolute blast drive!!
