Up for sale “AS IS” is a 2000 Saturn LS2 4 door sedan with just over 155,000 miles. The car did not pass the smog test inspection and the “check engine light” and “low coolant light” is on. Car has power windows and power seat adjustment (driver seat only). The car drives but needs to pass the smog certification in order for the car to be registered with the DMV. Car also has some minor to major cosmetic issues. One major cosmetic flaw is the driver seat—seat needs repair (seat cushion collapsed which we improvised by placing a stack of books, towels, etc. to lift seat). Another major cosmetic flaw is the back passenger side window. Window went off it’s track and dropped (we improvised by wedging a piece of cardboard in the window track to keep it in place). New visors were installed in 2017 but the wiring for the lighted mirrors were not connected. The driver side mirror has become unglued (bands have been placed to keep mirror intact on visor). Minor cosmetic flaw would be the plastic paneling on the outside back passenger side windows. The plastic paneling have chipped away on both sides (see photo). The rest of the windows work, however, all the windows have obvious scratches (most likely due from opening and closing of the power windows). The corner paneling on the passenger front window broke off and the wiring is exposed (see pic). Inside interior is smoke-free, however, carpeting is soiled (see pics). Exterior is ding-free due to Saturn’s dent resistant exterior paneling. Car was maintained regularly. Registration was renewed in September 2018. The car will be due for a smog check next year, however, California state law requires that a smog certification is needed for any transfer of ownership. The Saturn did not pass the smog certification. If you are in need of a car to get you to and from work or school, then look no further. Price has been reduced to accommodate the repairs. Price has been reduced to $700 (originally listed at $1250). Upon completion of sale, buyer needs to sign an agreement that he / she knowingly accepts car “As is”, and understands that me / she may encounter additional costs to repair vehicle to pass smog inspection.
