1956 Thunderbird for Sale

312 engine, automatic, both tops, 74300 original miles

I have owned this car for 46 years, purchased it in Birmingham, AL on September 1971, it was in mint condition. My wife and I got married in October 1971 and used the car for our wedding get away. I am the second owner, I sold my 62 vette to get this car. My wife could not push the clutch in on the Vette , so the vette had to go. We drove it for 5 years on a limited basis. WE were in a car club and used it for these years to go to all the shows all over the south. The car always won best original Tbird at all shows.
We stored the car up for 20 years and then in 1995 we moved to St Louis for a Job and I started to refresh the car and finished in 1996 our 25th wedding anniversary.
It has been repainted, new interior, rebuilt engine, transmission, rebuilt radiator and all new parts for suspension, brakes. Have the new smaller steering wheel and the original also. It still has the original undercoating from the factory. Body is mint, no damage, rush or collision damage. The car has been babied and never abused. Have a new windshield, which I did not replace. The original has a crack in it.
Last year I put the AC unit in it, it came with dealer add on unit when I bought the car, I still have all the original components. I changed it because of the R12 Freon and the new unit is R134.
It still has the original soft top. It has the port hole hard top.
I have 5 of the original kelsey hayes 62 roadster wire wheels and the original steel wheels and hub caps.
It does need a rebuild on the power brake booster unit.
My health issues are causing me to sell the car. As much as I hate to, I will let it go.
