Seller Comments
1951 Packard - 200 Deluxe Touring Sedan. Only 59,333 miles! It’s a gorgeous "four door" - "Beige Color" with beige and grey broadcloth interior. The Deluxe can be recognized by its turn signals and chrome wheel rings. Car has Ultramatic transmission, Gas door guard, fender skirts...Car is very solid and rust free, with the exception of little surface oxidation that is due to weather. The interior is totally complete. The car does not run (Uncle passed away before he could fix it) but it only needs a battery, regulator ?, and brakes adjusted. It was running before the needed repairs.
This Packard is one of very few un-restored original examples in existence. Remember an automobile like a work of art can only be original once! This wonderful Packard was purchased by my Uncle as one of his dream cars. Built by Packard Motorcar Company in 1951. The engine compartment is original showing inspection stamps and details. The beige and gray Packard flocking is present throughout.
The Packard for 1951 was a whole new car. It had been under development since 1949 and cost Packard over $20,000,000. The Twenty Fourth Series Packard’s were truly modern machines. The 200 Deluxe Packard’s were powered by a 288 cubic inch Straight Eight which was rated at 135 horsepower. This Packard is equipped with lots of great features: Turn Signals, Wheel trim rings, White wall tires, AM Radio, Clock, Heater and Defroster, Driver and Passenger outside mirrors, and Reversing lamps. Excellent Road Manners. Ready to Show and Enjoy. Call Mike 303-667-6835.
