EL CAMINO, RARE ONE
Beautiful electric blue EL Camino VERY RARE 1980 SS V6, 3 speed manual transmission. This car drives silky smooth, an honest pleasure ride. It isn’t perfect (it is almost 50 years old) but it doesn’t have much wrong with it either, just needs a few minor things (mainly just some TLC) and it would be flawless
Also comes with a fiberglass camper top. The Camper top was a dealer installed option back in 1980, so this top fits exactly, but it is just a base white (I guess painting it to match the body was extra) In my opinion the camper top is just ugly but that is a personal preference. It comes with the car regardless, stunning factory Crager SS mags, this car is just a beauty. Ready to win some ribbons
Tracked down the Vin and this is legitimate, not many like this anywhere. In fact, I could claim that this car is a “one of a kind” Vin # 1W80KAD447928. In addition to the obvious rarity of this vehicle (SS with a V6, 3 speed manual tranny) the camper top, Crager SS mags, hood scoop and even the Bahama Blue paint are additionally very rare options to any El Camino build. The summary of this vehicle as near as I can determine is that it was some sort of “promotional” special build, for a dealer most likely. Average buyers could get these options, but for a premium price. All of this is just speculation and educated guesses, there isn’t a whole lot of information to be had from the vin# and I do not have any of the original paperwork. I do have copies of the two appraisals that are included. These appraisals were done by different companies at different times (one in 2005 and the other in 2021) both companies are highly rated and respected, and the appraisals were done by expert professionals. It should be noted also, both appraisals value the car for less than what I am asking, neither appraisal takes in to account the Camper top or racing hood however, which is why I am comfortable asking for slightly more.
ASKING $18000. After checking the car out and doing some research, I believe it is worth every penny of that. You aren’t going to find another El Camino like this. This car is retro show ready, and it will win a lot of them. Please don’t waste your time or mine, serious inquiries only. I have had it “sold” twice now, one guy even sent me a phony check. Both “sales” were very clever and I will admit, fooled me totally. But, unless I can withdraw the money and hold it in my hand, this car isn’t leaving the location I have it stored. So, bottom line, you really can’t scam me. It will be a waste of your time (and mine) if you try.
