1999 Mitsubishi 3000GT SL
This is my one (1) owner car that I purchased new in Knoxville, TN.
It has a perfect Carfax report, no accidents or anything else.
The car is 100% stock other than the 18" chrome wheels, as you can see was a nice upgrade.
This car has been very well taken care of. This car was stored in my garage for the winter and has never seen winter conditions. This car is in great condition, with no issues other than normal wear and tear. The A/C is ice cold. There was only 1 option for this car, as it comes quite loaded (leather interior, moon-roof, etc.), a 6-disc cd player which I added. Please see picture 18, the original invoice, that fully list the 53 standard high-end features that were included on the SL model, (e.g. leather interior, moon rom, anti-lock brakes, etc.). Please see picture 17 the shows the original brochure, the keys & all the car’s manuals.
The original paint job on this car is ridiculously amazing, as you can see from the pictures. The paint still has a high gloss finish almost like new. The color is known as caracas red, and it is the best color, since it looks exactly like a Ferrari color. I have people come up to me all the time and will say love your Ferrari. That was even before I added the prancing horse removable magnet you can see in pictures 1, 8, and 9. The prancing horse magnets are removeable and included.
For the 1999 model year, the final year, the number of GT’s imported was greatly reduced. there was a total of 287 Mitsubishi 3000gt imported to the US, which includes base ($22K w/160hp), SL ($38k w/218hp) and VR-4 models. This was the last "caracas red SL" sold in the southeastern United States. The dealer (Knoxville, TN) that I bought it from initially wanted to add a $10,000 premium, but since the dealership was a client of mine (I am a CPA), he waived it. He had 5 base models, as they were relatively cheap, 2 VR4’s and 0 SL’s, hence having to send for the SL. Here is your chance to own one of the RAREST and most reliable (Japan was definitely at the top of their game) beauties out there. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
Back in 1999, I remember this car as being pretty expensive. I have attached the original sticker (which does not include the 6-disc player I added which was a couple grand or so). The amount of 1999 money (including prem.) equals about $90,000 in 2022 dollars.
If you add up all the prices of 3000gt on eBay the average price is $30,300. This is the newest and last year the car was imported, and the rarest due to the low number that were imported to the US.
