2004 Volvo S80 For Sale by Owner in Victor, ID

For sale is my 2004 Volvo S80 Sedan with All Wheel Drive. 

It has a 5 cylinder 2.5 Liter Turbo engine. The car has 140k miles on it.

All power everything/cruise control/sunroof/all leather interior/heated seats and many other options. 

It also has a brand new stereo with bluetooth hands free phone integration/cd/mp3/usb hookups/hq sound. 

I am the second owner - I purchased the car in June of 2012 with 54k miles on it. 

The car has been regularly professionally serviced throughout it's life.

I have had the oil changed always with Mobil 1 Synthetic and premium oil filters every 3000 miles. 

Anytime anything was wrong with the car it was promptly fixed. Some service records available. Clean title in hand and clean Carfax.

The car has never leaked or burned a drop of oil. The engine runs very smoothly - no issues whatsoever. Timing was done at 100k - the engine needs no work. 

Because I'm unhealthily attached to this car I had planned to do a full restoration of it and keep it forever :)

However, I have too many other projects to complete and I need the space for my other vehicles/boat/motorcycle.

I started the restoration with a brand new full body paint job ($2000) and then other priorities got in the way. 

So I've decided to sell it in the midst of this process.

Here are the things that need attention.

As you can see from the pictures it needs a new windshield. I've been quoted $250 from Safelite OR you could just have your insurance pay for it after you buy the car. 

The driver side window has come off track and needs a regulator - a known issue with these cars. You can get the part for approximately $50 and fix it yourself for free - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k0npZUO6K_4
It also has a slight crack about two inches long in the corner - that could be fixed without having to replace. 

Those are the only things needing attention now - the rest can be done later or not at all but here is additional info

The front bumper cover has a crack in it - because I was going to restore and keep the car I already bought a brand new bumper cover for it - I paid $300 for it and will include it for free with the car. 

I also have a plastic Lower Engine Skid Plate Splash Shield Guard I purchased ($70) and you can have for free. 
The fuel door cap spring needs replacing - hence you can see it is ajar - very low cost repair $20 or less. 

These are cosmetic fixes and are not required unless you want the car to be aesthetically perfect like I did. 

I've done a complete run through with the car today and everything is in good working order except for the following:

-- to my surprise the heat is not blowing hot - i do not know what the issue is but I've had the coil/element replaced recently ($400) so my guess is it's something to do with the switch and not a major fix or costly but I do not know. 

-- the front driver's seat is in very poor condition - you could put a seat cover on it and be done or replace - i've seen them as low as $80. The rest of the leather interior is in good condition - I'd give it a 6.5 out of 10 rating. 

-- the body of the car has several dings/small dents - they can be popped out. No body work necessary other than the bumper cover and even that is optional according to your fiscal situation. 

-- the car requires approximately 1 gallon of antifreeze every other month ($10) - the reason for this remains a complete mystery - I had the entire radiator replaced and it still requires this - there are NO LEAKs of coolant - I had 3 different mechanics check into it and nobody could ever figure out why. The car has NEVER overheated. Because of this anomaly the coolant light indicates - a good indicator as to when to top up. Also, as is common on older vehicles the check engine light is permanently on. 

--the two side marker lights (not required by law) are missing - when I was getting ready to do the bumper replacement I took them out and for the life of me I can't find them since moving house. The bulbs are intact and you can find the lights for as low as $15 for two on Ebay. Also, one of the indicator lights housing is loose. 

Lastly - the car has almost two sets (7) of high quality tires on it with very little tread wear and lots of life left. 

3 of them are 215/55R16 Inch Cooper CS3 Touring Tires - 70% tread remaining
AND
4 barely used - 90% tread remaining -BRIDGESTONE BLIZZAK WS80 - 215/55R16 TIRES - the best snow tire for this car there is. It runs great in the snow. 

Two sets of floor mats - one standard - the other heavy duty rubber for the winter. 

I'm including some exterior pictures taken today - interior pictures I will post shortly as I am in the process of detailing the interior at the moment but I wanted to get the ad up for the weekend. 

The price is $2250 Or Best Offer. I am a little flexible on price but no lowball offers please. I reached the price based on a composite of the various 'blue book' values. NADA/KBB etc and factored in the car's history. Cash only. 

It is my informed (not expert) opinion based on my knowledge and ownership of this vehicle that it should run another 100,000 miles without major repairs as long as it is maintained properly as these engines are known to.
