This car is only over 100,000 once, engine is in fine working order as is the tranny... a rare seldom encountered L/ 82 350 factory high performance car that I drive , but needs restored. I started on it over 5 years ago , and then we were hit by the colorado 500 year flood. The car was not water damaged whatsoever but our house was.Brakes are new, bought a new master cyl, but old one still works fine.
We put it in storage for 3 years while repairs on the house was done , and I have decided I hate to sell it, but if someone will pay what I have in it (which is my asking price ), I will flip it and break even. I purchased new carpet , door panels seat covers , and more to the tune of 2000.00 + sitting ready to install....it needs some fiberglass repair(minor) has new brake discs, rear end redone, and before I purchased it someone else supposedly considering buying it (really only wanted to steal parts off it to resell that was a dealer in used corvette stuff), as the guy was having trouble finding his title. It took him several months to find it, but now has its title is in mine and my significant others name, passed emissionsand has: new tires , an aftermarket carb. No quad. They stole the inserts near T top, ac parts mounts etc. Really P'd me off. It passed emissions , now doesnt need it here in Co. I register it for 5 years at a time.
It is fast, runs well... but I had started disassembling the interior before the flood , as dash is out, as is column cover and passangers seat. It is ready for the right guy who will give it its chance to live again as it once was ...I believe it is matching numbers.
Price reflects chasing down original title, purchase price after corvette guy stole parts, cost for glass, installation, interior parts including new dash, flooring, insulation door interiors, seat covers and kit, new discs , transmission servicing, replacement of rear end suspension bearings etc, new tires(correct) I have most of the old parts taken off ...light vacuume seals need replaced. When I flew back to carlisle for the corvette show 4 or 5 years ago, there was one L/ 82 out of the thousands of corvettes there and that L/82 was a 78 not a 77...and was being driven by its owner. None were being shown or for sale. Has its high rise original hood, is missing emblems but the L / 82s are still there it was originally turquoise or light blue like robbins egg, not sure but paint can be seen inside where door panels are off and on rear bumper. No rear rack...but ready for a new home for someone who knows how rare these versions are to look to the future to see this is one worth restoring and investing in.I get comments all the time about how rare it is when I drive it. I knew it was rare when I bought it and without my diligence in taking it this far, it would not be on the road ... so if you are serious want a nice builder worth building and know your corvette stuff and have done repairs , this one will guaranteed appreciate with time and your TLC.
I planned to rebuild the extending tilt column because the turn signals parts are broken, but havent done it since I just decided to offer it to someone else. This car is in colorado. (In the denver area) I can e mail pictures of all its conditions if serious.
