DESCRIPTION: This rare Dark Green-Gray 1996 Chevy Impala SS is all original and in exemplary condition. Original Paint, Interior, Drivetrain etc. are exceptional for a 18 year old vehicle. The LT1 Engine/Trans is healthy and runs excellent, all mechanicals are in perfect working order. This one-owner(engineering professional) vehicle started out as a GM Corporate fleet car has been treated with extreme care over the years. Car has been never seen winter, been driven in rain nor left out in the sun. Always garage keep and covered when not in use.
EXTERIOR: Still looks as if it just rolled right off the assembly line as the paint, headlights/taillights, Glass, Seals and wheels look brand new and unused. Exterior paint, trim and badging are in excellent condition, underside of the car looks fantastic as well.
INTERIOR: The interior, just like the exterior, is all original and in fantastic shape still has that new car smell. All of the buttons, switches, instruments, and cabin lighting operate as they should. Gray leather seats, carpet, floormats and headliner excellent, no wear showing. Comes completely loaded from the factory with 1SE preferred equipment option, heat reflective windshield, Delco AM/FM CD stereo etc. Trunk never been used, original spare/jack never been uncovered. DRIVETRAIN: The heart of the Impala SS is the LT1 350 V8, factory engine /trans generates 260 hp and 330 lb-ft of torque through a floor-shifted (only for 1996) 4L60 transmission. Mobil 1 was used exclusively, cooling system system has been periodically flushed all regular maintainance performed at premature intervals. Air blows cold, heat works excellent also. Car drives very smooth and straight with no strange noises or vibrations, it is a prime example of how a car over 18 years old should drive when taken care of properly.
NOTE: Car is equipped with a Venom engine program box set up specifically for 1996 GM LT1 engines. Basically when you step on the gas Venom box software tricks the engine to believe its starving for fuel/air, alters torque converter lockup for more power & faster acceleration. There's a small red LED light in the drivers a pillar that glows when Venom unit is activated. The Venom unit can be switched on/off, expect a 20-30% increase in power when activated. The Venom program box is totally separate from the engine ECM thats still remains completely stock(never been reflashed). Gas mileage is affected when Venom is in use so i rarely used it, very cool gizmo to have.
