1970 Volkswagen Vanagon For Sale by Owner in Boone, NC

I have owned VWs for over 50 years, 3 buses and 4 bugs. I always wanted a Dormobile camper and found this one in Maine 18 years ago.The previous owner had two of these Dormobiles and decided to remove the some parts from one and replace those parts on the other one, just tossing the replaced parts in the bus he wanted to sell and I bought. Check out the pictures I took when I picked up the bus. It was a challenge to find replacement parts and put it all back together, especially since it was an original Dormobile manufactured in England.
We have owned this 1970 Dormobile for eighteen years. It has been a great experience and adventure traveling many miles in the Northeast, Mid Atlantic and Southwest. Working on the bus has always brought me joy along with the frustrations that come with keeping a 50 year old vehicle running. But now my wife and I agree it's time to pass it on to a new owner with a passion for adventure and new experiences. This is a great bus, an original Dormobile from the factory in Folkestone England. It has the original walk thru camper interior, folding canopy roof, cabinets, bed, ice box, sink, table, and 2 burner stove. We have added some features to the bus to update some for camping but the bus is pretty much the same as when it left the factory.
