2003 Lincoln Aviator Premier AWD in excellent condition, except that it needs to have its transmission replaced or repaired. Although the Aviator is 19 years old and has 106,000 miles on the odometer, its engine was replaced in 2017, and has only approximately 69,000miles on it (described below). I bought this vehicle in 2016 with only 14,000 miles on it (it had never been driven in winter, and was always stored inside). All 2003 – 2005Lincoln Aviators came equipped with a 4.6 liter, Dual Overhead Cam, 32 valve V-8 engine. This same engine, which is rated at 302 hp, was also used by Ford in two other high-performance cars of that era: the Mustang Mach I and the Mercury Marauder. Auto literature from 2003 made a big deal of the fact that the Aviator’s engine was rated at higher peak horsepower than the 5.4 liter V8 used in the bigger Lincoln Navigator.
