2002 Chrysler PT Cruiser. Mother in laws car who cannot drive anymore. Car started to shut off periodically either while idling or when coming to a stop. Lights stay on, you don't even realize the engine has shut off! Then, starts right back up immediately, every time. I have tried throwing NUMEROUS parts to prevent this from happening. See pics for list (have receipts): Problem persists. Took to PEP BOYS for diagnosis, they said battery at first, replaced and still occurs. Now they say it is the PCM, but I am not putting any more money or time into the car. You can drive this car home; it starts and runs PERFECT! When I was driving it, I would throw it in neutral when it shut off, start it back up and keep on going, but I have since bought another vehicle. If you need wheels this car runs and drives incredibly well, if you don't mind the periodic "re-starting". Asking $1700 or best offer.
