This rare Pre-Merger AMG was from an era when AMG was a private tuning and modification shop in Germany founded by two ex Mercedes Engineers, which eventually after years of racing and customizing stock Mercedes, merged with and became a unit of Mercedes Benz and the rest is history. This C126 Coupe started off life as a Euro Spec 380SEC coupe ordered from Mercedes Benz of Paris by a French Diplomat, then it was sent to AMG of Germany where it received over $46k In full modifications from exterior, to interior to V8 M116 modifications. This amazing machine has full documentation from Paris, to AMG Germany, to the USA where it was imported in 1985. This Pre-Merger AMG has DOT, EPA and NTHS documentation and was imported by Sports Vehicle Specialists into the USA where it was certified to enter the USA after modifications to meet USA EPA standards. This Pre-Merger AMG even has a FULL SIZE SPARE, which is so very rare to find, full euro first aid kit, complete factory tool kit, tire gauge, spare bulb and fuse kit, and a functional 12V light which are all period and correct. The Penta's are like brand new and the interior is like brand new. Paint is original Champaign Metallic over Brazil Brown leather Recaros with front and rear heated and ortho seats.... Yes Rear heat and ortho in a coupe. Full sound system and all power options, including rear headphones for the rear passengers. Rare pedal set, shift knob, steering wheel, Ideal C Recaros with full adjustment and power which is wired to the factory switches on the doors and both work 100% as they should. All power windows, doors, sunroof and automatic seat-belt valet devices function as they should. This car features the very first GPS Navigation system by a company called Etak. This system was highly advanced and used Cassette tapes for maps and directions were handled by an ECU mounted in the trunk. The car has a cell phone and charger with spare battery integrated into the center console and a custom Blaupunkt stereo cassette with RF remote which can be passed to the passengers in the rear seat. This car was fitted with a Gloria fire extinguisher from factory as well as rear trunk mounted refrigerated cooler. (All documented) Some of these items have been removed for restoration however they are included and will be provided with the sale of the vehicle. Importation paperwork is included. Stereo, GPS, Phone, and Performance computer all custom fitted to the center console of this beautiful German built machine. I doubt you will find its equal outside of an AMG Hammer widebody. You will not find a cleaner example under the hood of this SEC. The V8 has only 96,895 KM or roughly 59,651 Miles even though the speedometer was calibrated during importation.
