1960 Ford Thunderbird mild Custom. Super nice old school custom car. This car underwent a complete restoration/mild customization years ago and has held up very well. The car is extremely solid and has absolutely zero rust anywhere on it. The floors, rockers are all original and rust free. The chrome looks great, the paint shines up nice, but does have birds feet/cracking that is typical with acrylic enamel paint. It will be time for a re-paint some time in the future but looks good for now. We thought about putting it in whimbalden White and running white walls but we’ll leave that up to the new owner. The engine is a powerful mercury 410 v8, that starts right up and purrs to perfection and will cruise down the road at any speed you want with the automatic transmission. The car really likes to be driven, and does it smoother and without any funny noises than any other 58 year old car you will find. The car has 44,405 miles and I was told that was original.
The builder of the car was a true craftsman. He installed opera port windows out of a Lincoln in the top. Built a custom hand made teak wood and leather luggage rack. Made all custom cherry wood panels throughout the interior. All power options work in this car. Power steering, power brakes, air conditioner(needs a shot of freon but does function and cool.), power windows, power antenna, power trunk popper, power seats, Hurst Indy shifter, customer cheery wood overhead console, secondary radiator to improve cooling and I know there is more I can’t remember right now. The interior is absolutely perfect as well, and has a great look to it. I have a huge box of receipts, pictures, manuals, and catalogs from when the work was completed.
The car has made several 2 hour trips and it has no problems running 75mph down the interstate just like it should including a recent trip was made in it from Knoxville, TN to Buffalo, NY and back. This is a true classic, that can literally be driven anywhere you want. The car was garaged almost all it’s life.
The car is also for sale locally, and we reserve the right to end the auction however once it makes the reserve on eBay, it will sell on eBay, no games being played here. So, bid early and bid often.
I have described the car to the best of my ability, however this is my opinion, and no warranty is expressed or implied. I encourage all bidders to come check out the condition of the car themselves(I think you will be impressed). All bids are final and are a binding contract. A non-refundable deposit of $500.00 is due within 24hours after the end of the auction. Balance is due either in cash or bank transfer within 7 days after the end of the auction. I will work with a shipper if needed to arrange pickup of the car, but all shipping expense and scheduling is the buyers responsibility.
